California Post Grad Signs Canadian Standout Cole Alpen from Coquitlam Reds Baseball
California Post Grad Baseball is excited to announce the signing of Cole Alpen, a 2025 graduate from North Vancouver, BC, and current member of the Coquitlam Reds Baseball Club. A dynamic third baseman and middle infielder, Alpen brings high-level tools and a strong academic background to the CPG roster.
Standing at 6’1”, 170 lbs, the right-handed hitter and thrower flashes power with a 96 mph exit velocity, while showcasing advanced defensive instincts and versatility across the infield. Off the field, he maintains a strong 3.5 GPA, demonstrating the discipline and drive that California Post Grad looks for in its athletes.
“We’re thrilled to add Cole Alpen to the program,” said Zack Novis, Head Coach of California Post Grad. “He’s got a great combination of size, athleticism, and a real presence on the field. His swing plays at a high level, and his defensive versatility gives us options. Most importantly, he competes hard and plays the game the right way.”
Casey Dill, Director of Baseball Operations, echoed the excitement: “We’ve had great success with athletes from Canada, and Cole is no exception. He’s mature, coachable, and driven. We’re confident he’ll be a major contributor both on the field and in our clubhouse. The future is bright with him in the lineup.”
California Post Grad continues to attract elite international talent, and the addition of Cole Alpen only strengthens the program’s mission to prepare high-level athletes for college baseball and beyond.
