CPG Welcomes 2025 Catcher Jordan Wener
California Post Grad Welcomes Back 2025 Catcher Jordan Wener
California Post Grad Baseball is proud to announce the commitment of Jordan Wener, an uncommitted 2025 graduate and catcher from Toronto, Canada. Wener returns to the program after seeing the success of his older brother, Solly Wener, a former standout CPG alum.
A member of the Great Britain Junior National Team, Jordan brings an impressive resume to the California desert. He recently competed in the European Championship, showcasing his elite skills behind the plate. Standing at 5'7" and 155 pounds, Jordan is known for his defensive prowess, especially his blocking, receiving, and ability to control the running game. At the plate, he brings next-level power, posting exit velocities in the upper 90s while maintaining solid contact throughout his swing.
“Jordan is the type of player every coach wants in their dugout,” said Casey Dill, Director of Baseball Operations. “He brings professionalism, toughness, and a team-first attitude that’s infectious. Having already worked with him, we know exactly what we’re getting—a high-character kid who leads by example and works relentlessly.”
Head Coach Zack Novis added, “Jordan is a special player. His energy behind the plate and the way he commands the game is rare at his age. He’s the kind of guy that makes the players around him better. We’re excited to have him back in the program and know he’s going to be a big contributor to our continued success.”
With a 3.5 GPA and experience on the international stage, Jordan Wener represents the kind of talent and character that embodies California Post Grad Baseball. We’re thrilled to welcome him back to the family.
