Submarine RHP Dale Wood Signs with California Grizzlies Baseball for 2025-2026 Season

California Grizzlies Baseball is excited to announce the addition of Dale Wood, a 2025 graduate and right-handed pitcher from Ontario, Canada. Known for his deceptive submarine delivery and ability to change arm angles, Wood brings a unique dynamic to the Grizzlies' pitching staff for the 2025-2026 season.

Dale consistently pounds the strike zone while disrupting hitters’ timing with a delivery that’s both unorthodox and highly effective. His ability to change arm slots—adding velocity and movement—keeps hitters off balance and extends his effectiveness across different types of matchups.

“Dale is a pitcher that makes hitters extremely uncomfortable,” said Casey Dill, Director of Baseball Operations. “He throws strikes from multiple angles, and the deception in his delivery is a huge advantage. As he continues to develop and gain strength, he’s going to become a serious weapon out of the bullpen.”

Head Coach Zack Novis added, “Dale brings something rare to the table. His unique style creates tough at-bats for hitters, and his confidence in his craft sets him apart. He’s a competitor, and we expect him to make an immediate impact.”

Pitching Coordinator Green shared, “Dale is an exciting addition to our staff. His feel for manipulating timing and his willingness to develop and learn make him a great fit for what we’re building. I’m looking forward to seeing how far he can go in our system.”

With his creative delivery, command, and high baseball IQ, Dale Wood is poised to be a difference-maker for California Grizzlies Baseball in the 2025-2026 season and beyond.
